A tote built from a painting. 14oz primed duck canvas, spraypaint and silkscreen, lined interior, hand-assembled. Made at 1059 Market Street, San Francisco, 2024. One of one.
CONTEXT
The painting was called JUMPING OFF THE WALLS. That's what I was doing in school — off the walls, couldn't sit still inside anyone's idea of how I was supposed to be. Instead of hanging it behind glass I cut it down and built a bag out of it. Same canvas. Different job. There are details hidden in here you won't find unless you go looking for them.

Denim handles — 12oz, pulled from scraps already in the shop

STORY
Most people keep the painting and sell prints of it. I did it backwards — the painting is the bag now. The denim on the handles is shop scrap, not new material. Nothing here is precious for the sake of being precious.
